ABOUT US

THE INSPIRATION
Gary's grandfather, Joe Hines, was a hard-working entrepreneur and carpenter who built many homes in the Spearville, Kansas area. Gary grew up helping on his grandfather's construction sites from time to time, spurring Gary's interest in carpentry at a young age. Inspired by his grandfather's vision of building a better tomorrow, and the know-how to do it, Gary also began a career in construction. Gary spent more than a decade honing his skills in the industry, before he and his wife Joleen founded Hines Construction in 1993.   
 
FARMING CONNECTION
Gary and Joleen both come from farming families. Joleen, grew up on a dairy farm south of Windthorst, Kansas. Gary grew up on a farm north of Spearville. Together they've owned farm ground; and Gary has farmed family ground his entire life up until recently when they decided to focus their time on the construction business and pursue other investment opportunities.

We're a family-owned construction company, specializing in general contracting for residential and commercial projects. 

 

In addition to general contracting, we provide rough framing and finish carpentry, as well as handmade custom concrete countertops.

WE ARE

THE NEXT GENERATION
Today, Hines Construction is a second-generation business. Like Gary, his son Winston also grew up around construction sites. After college, Winston worked as a Project Manager & Foreman for a commercial framer out of Lee Summit, Missouri. Opportunities became available for Winston to move back home and join Hines Construction full-time. In 2018, Winston and his wife Laci became partners in the family business.

CONSTRUCTION

ROOTS

Winston's roots of construction run deep in his family. He and his wife Laci and new daughter live in Dodge City, KS, not far from where his great-grandfather once built homes that would endure for generations.
